Self soother

What can I say? Noah put himself to sleep. Playtime jumping turned into naptime rocking :)

Gardening with a baby

Jared got these beautiful flowers planted in our bed in the front yard. Even as a non-crawler (just scootin'), Noah still manages to get into trouble :)

Caught in the act! (of course when I caught him, I had to go get the camera first and THEN clean his mouth out!)

"What are you looking at?"

So good! So fun! So boy!

Lindsey's Nail Salon

Ms. Lindsey got excited for nail painting recently! She's always enjoyed having her nails painted, but she's discovered that she can paint other people's nails too! So, she opened a nail salon right in our house and all were participants! (even an anxious-to-copy-sister brother and a very loving father!)

Pedicures all around!

Last Swim of the Year

The kids insisted on one last swim of the year. It was too cold for my taste, but Grandma braved it with them and provided icees!

Goodbye pool.  Until next summer!

Lindsey's First Day of Kindergarten

The big first day of school finally arrived! Long story short, Jared and I planned on homeschooling since forever, but as summer drew to a close I could tell something was wrong and as we made it a matter of more prayer and fasting we came to the conclusion that we were going to be sending Lindsey to school. Not at all what either of us had planned, but it's amazing the peace that comes from making the right decision, even if it's not what we thought was right.

A few weeks before school started we were at the HMNS and Lindsey saw a necklace she loved. Jared snuck away and bought it and we gave it to Lindsey the night before school started. It was for her to wear to remember us :)
 It's a butterfly necklace.

Lindsey suprised us and was extremely excited about school-no hesitations at all. She's had her outfit picked out and sitting next to her backpack in her room for a few weeks now. Here she is on the big morning!

Her brothers were caught up in the excitement too.

Walking to school. Normally, I'll drop her off at the front but the school lets us walk her in on the first day of school. So, we parked across the street. I'm grateful Jared could join us!

She found her seat and was right at home. She is in Mrs. Toval's class at Birkes Elementary in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. We'd visited the classroom a week earlier so Lindsey was already familiar with it. It was such a blessing and further evidence that we were making a good choice seeing her so comfortable.

The boys and I went to the park after we dropped Lindsey off.

We sure do miss Lindsey at home but know she's doing great things at school too! We love our special Lindsey girl with all our hearts-an amazing daughter, a great older sister.

Noah in August

Noah is the happiest baby these days! At 6 months (in July) he was 21 lbs. Our little chunker like his older siblings. He's sitting well although having a tile house is hard on him because on occasion he falls and misses the pillow behind him and it's quite a bang to the head!  He sleeps great. He enjoys his older siblings and could watch them all day.

Chubby legs!

It's babies like this that caused the Bumbo recall!

Hand and Knees

Noah's has assumed the position. I'm sure it's only a matter of a couple weeks before we've got a crawler on our hands!

Got the camera out...

So funny when mommy takes pictures!

 Concentrate...concentrate.

Ta-da!

Bath Buddies

Nothing like quality bathtime, or splashtime, with big brother!

Noah in July

What's that? The whale has a little flipper that sticks out and Noah always finds it and then tries to suck on it :)

Noah's favorite activity? Rocking his exersaucer back and forth. He literally throws himself back and forward-it even scoots him across the floor!

Sorry it's upside down-but I found Noah sucking his thumb! He doesn't usually do this but it was soo cute!

Noah's first attempt at sitting up!! He was very excited!

Right after I clicked these pics he promptly fell backward and I kinda missed catching him so he was a little upset....sorry, buddy!  I do hate having all hard floors-it's so hard on my little baby's head, and I'm sure it'll just get worse until he can really hold himself up!

Nom-om-om!! Yummy feet! I've always wanted a baby that did this-he's my first :)
