So, this is my first post (Melissa) on our website. Today, the last day of finals--I finished the semester but I believe at the expense of my brain cells! I no longer have control over whether my brain is on or off. Let me start at the very beginning...
Yesterday I was talking to my neighbor and she asked if I got Jared anything for Christmas. I told her we already got a TV (which he knows about and we watch) but also a robe and some slippers(that Jared does NOT know about at this point) for our anniversary. She said her husband spent so much on new tires and a window for his truck that those were his xmas gifts. We laughed a bit...
This morning I was driving Jared to work and was telling him the story in order to inform him that our neighbor got new tires etc...So, I said...
"Akiko(our neighbor) asked if I got you anything for xmas and I told her you already got the t.v. but that I also got you a robe and some slippers..." At that point I stopped and gasped b/c in trying to tell the story about our neighbor's new tires I told him what I got him for our anniversary!! He was as shocked as I was!!
So, I tell Jared EVERYTHING, and forgot that this time of year I do have SOME secrets from him!!
Apparently I have lost the ability to turn my brain on!! Well, I suppose that is the price that has to be paid during finals week...so long!
(I hope that although this is a sad attempt to recreate a pretty comical event that you can visualize it a little and that it brings a smile to your face)

You guys are cute! Melissa, I have been there, honey. Your spouse becomes part of your inner brain and you end up doing and saying things that are totally weird. Jared, congrats on the robe and slippers. I'm getting the same thing for Adam for Christmas actually!
ps- check the link to your "all albums". I'm flattered!
Great account of how love makes the brain bypass the security check of "should I really be saying this?"!
