In the Midst of Finals

Alright, Melissa and I are in the midst of finals. It is my favorite time of the year... NOT!!! I have never understood the thinking of some teachers. My history teacher lectured for a month each on the first two sections. Now in the last three weeks of school, he crammed in three sections and two research papers. I must admit that the leisurely pace at the beginning of the term was great for my busy schedule, but the frantic-catch-up-and-cram-the-second-half-of-the-class-into-the-last-week-of-school-pace stinks.

Another teacher that I am not too thrilled about is Melissa's evolutionary biology teacher. He seems bent on proving that the scriptures are wrong (He has several times declared in class that they are). While I expect that from a liberal school like Massachusetts' Hampshire College, I frown on BYU's professors declaring that God is mistaken and confused. It is possible to teach evolutionary biology without advocating atheism. I had written more on this subject, but in order to spare you anymore of my soap-boxing, I deleted it. Besides, some things and some people just don't make any sense. Like why on earth, did I decide that it would be fun to go as COWS for Halloween?

Despite the negative professor bashing attitude of this particular post, Melissa and I are doing quite well. We are particularity looking forward to heading out to the warmer weather of CA. I can't tell you how great it feels to know that we need to pack swimsuits! That is just plain awesome.
