Check out Jeannie's New Blog

Everyone,
Jeannie and Howard have set up a blog. I'm excited that now almost everyone in the family has a blog. I love to read what is going on in everyone's life, and it really help us to feel closer to the family. A great big thank you to everyone who has participated and takes the time to post comments!

I need to vent about school really quick. I'm drowning. I really need a break to help get all caught up with school, but instead my teachers try and cram even more into this last month of school. I wouldn't mind that too much if we had even a 3 day weekend to get caught up, but no luck there. BYU doesn't believe in spring break.

We are paying the university, so why aren't we the boss. Most companies have to listen to their clients or run the risk of going out of business, but it is different with a school. The school is the supreme-commander-and-chief-demi-god-president-sultan. They don't have to listen to anyone. At work if my boss gives me too many assignments, I can gently remind him that I am already working on 7 project simultaneously and ask which is most critical. At school, the teachers don't care. Theirs is the only class, and if you have trouble keeping up with the insane amount of class work given, then that is just tough beans. I wish that I could say, "Well, I'm paying your salary, and you are being mean, so you're fired." What sweet gratification that would be when a teacher assigns daily quizes while passing out a take-home exam and a group project all at the same time.

I am throwing you a virtual buoy.... :) And I feel your pain. I am painfully behind in one of my classes as well. You will make it... the end is in sight... (or you will die trying)

It's one of the only systems where you pay for the torture. The good news is that it really is worth it b/c the job market will pay you back!
When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!!
