Some of My Wacky Thoughts

First let me thank everyone who has voted on the polls.

Everyone knew that 4 presidents have been assassinated, and all of our thoughts about Illegal Immigration came out like this:
1. Large fines for employers who hire illegals (50%)
2. Build a wall (40%)
3. Amnesty (10%)
4. Make it a felony (0%)

I really think that fining employers who hire illegals is a good idea. America is a capitalist nation, and I feel that as long as it is better financially to hire illegals, then it will keep happening. When it becomes more expensive to hire illegals, then people will stop. I think that dealing with the employers is an important step to preventing illegal immigration. While I served in the Navy, I worked specifically with issues from Brazil, but I was vaguely familiar with some issues in Mexico. Al Queda does exist in Mexico. Our fluid borders scare me, because it makes it so easy for a terrorist to come into our country. For that reason, I strongly support building a wall and anything else that makes it even slightly more difficult for a terrorist to come into our country. Finally, I support making illegal immigration a felony. Felons are not permitted to immigrate to the USA. They are also send home much quicker. I believe that if people were aware that coming to the USA illegally would make it so that they could never stay, then that would help to encourage people to come here properly.

On another note: I am serious looking at going back into the Navy Reserves when I graduate. I am also considering the Marines. At this particular moment, I am leaning towards the Marines. If activated, I would feel better being with the better trained Marines. I don't feel that our training in the Navy is as complete as that of the Marines. Let me know what you think.
