Well my textbooks are going to cost $700 this semester. I am only taking 5 classes, but each book costs over a $100. I guess the pages are gold plated. I'm sure that they have something wonderful in them. When I was in highschool, I hollowed out a section of an old book to pass notes to a girlfriend. Maybe one of these books will be like that, but with keys to a new car or a house. That would be pretty cool. One of my books costs about $1 per page. I'm sure that it is a wonderfully written book that I will charish for the rest of my life. In fact, I bet that all five of these books will be some of my best reads ever. I can't wait to toss $700 for these textbooks. I'm so excited about it. Just shoot me now. No wait, give me one of those pills I got for being hit by a car. They make EVERYTHING seem better.

But resale value makes it a little better. Did you consider buying any of your books online? I would always see what books I needed and check the internet first. Go to half.com or an equivalent site for really good deals. Then just return whatever books you can. Seriously, I saved hundreds every year doing this.
the $700 value is bookstore value, and I won't really pay that much. I do check online, but the problem this year is that all but one of my classes switched to a new textbook published 2006, but if I can use an old edition, then I will save more $.
maybe you could sell or share with nate harris .Then you could possibly get some of your $ back..
