Three Whole Years!

Today Melissa and I are celebrating our three-year wedding anniversary. I have to admit that life has been treating me pretty good lately. I have the most wonder, most beautiful wife in the universe. We have a darling baby girl on the way. I am finished with finals. I should graduate in August (finally)! Then we could move back to my beloved Texas. Christmas is almost here (and this is the first year we aren't opening our presents early). I have now been married long enough that the most painful single-dating-years-memories aren't so vivid. Time heals all wounds, but even as they heal, they leave scars, token reminders of the pain. I really didn't like the dating scene. It is a time that we all have to pass through, but I'm glad it is over. It sure was awkward, scary, and painful. But that pain is now far behind, covered up by three wonderful years with the woman I love, and the promise of many, many more to come. Melissa, I love you! Happy Anniversary!
