Reasons Why I Hate the Cold

So, I've been asking myself if I really hate cold weather as much as I think I do. Then, last week, when it got chilly I really was excited--but after a few days I was in the shower and realized I actually DO hate it as much as I thought. Here are some of the reasons--more to follow if I think of some, and please add your own.

It's too cold for me when:

1. my heater is always on (well, I always TRY to have it on and then Jared makes me turn the temperature down)
2. there's slippers on my cold toes
3. the toilet seat is cooold!
4. I take longer and hotter showers b/c getting out and drying off is freezing!
5. I have to wear a coat all day
6. I have to wait for my car to defrost
7. I dread sitting down b/c my jeans are so cold
8. My little baby can hardly move for all the layers of clothing she has to wear to stay warm
9. Both my dogs curl up together and lie in the small square foot or two of sunshine streaming through the front window b/c it's the only warmth they get
10. I have to use the heavy comforter on my bed (although I actually really enjoy this!)
11. I have to start blow-drying my hair, otherwise my scalp freezes
12. It's no longer fun to go for walks to the park or play outside :-(

I don't mind it, but it sounds like you get reallly cold. How cold is it in Texas now?

It also depends on what "cold" means. I think temperatures in the 50s and even lows in the 40s can be exhilarating, but Mom finds that to be cold. (We have just the opposite problem at the "hot" end of the scale, too, of course.) I mind the cold if I have to drive on icy roads. That's my biggest issue.
