I admit that my sister gave me a double sided puzzle a LONG time ago and I hadn't even taken it out of the plastic wrapping until this weekend. I was too intimidated! two sides?!? I can barely handle one. it was too daunting a task.
Well, I decided I felt like a puzzle so thought I'd give it a shot. It had one big labrador on one side, and four smaller ones on the other side-so at least it wasn't the exact same thing on both sides (those REALLY intimidate me). So, pumped with enthusiasm and ready to tax my brain I began the methodical sorting of pieces: corners, edges, and the rest. During this time I realized the following: you can fairly EASILY tell which side is which on a puzzle piece! one is more rounded on the edges and shinier-the back is duller and sharper. check any puzzle piece and I bet it'll be like this.
I was bummed out-but i DID finish the puzzle much faster b/c I knew which side was up. So, there you go. Go and conquer those double-sided puzzles in the corners of your game closet. No need to fear!

That's a new one for me. I've never even heard of double-sided puzzles! Is this your puzzle, Jared-with-the-engineering-eye-for-detail?
