Happy Mother's Day

So, what would Mother's Day be if it wasn't out of the ordinary? Here's all the special events that took place for us:

Lindsey woke up with her cold still here and now passed on to me (mom-the 39 week prego lady!) We both don't feel happy.

L throws a screaming fit after I successfully get her dressed and coordinated-hairbow and all-and insists that her father change her into her pink dress.

We attempt church b/c I have to lead my primary in sacrament meeting--L throws 2 major tantrums while there that I could even hear in the chapel. We leave after the primary sings.

L has a major dirty diaper (not a big deal) but it totally leaked up her back etc... (which hasn't happened in FOREVER). Jared does not know this and attempts to change her. Then I hear the screaming "Mel! Get in here now! run!" I am greeted by my laughing toddler on hands and knees with poop all over her back, poop on the floor, a dog who is attempting to eat it all, and a hubby who doesn't know what to do! I grab her legs and he grabs her arms and we carry her into the bathroom where I continue to scrub the poop off while Jared cleans the room.

We venture to my in-laws' house which is fun and relaxing. I am talking with Vickie and Jared while L runs around their house. Their geriatric dog lets his bladder empty (it's like a gallon it seems!) unknown to us until Lindsey slips in the pee, falls backward, smacks her head on the tile, and is lying there screaming. Seriously, I wanted to hug her, but she had dog pee all over her (including her hair)! It was pret-ty gross.

So, hope everyone elses Mother's Day was as memorable and special as mine :-)

wish I had pics to document, but with stuff like this, there's just no time for pics. it just happens.

Isn't it great to have memorable holidays? (That question is obviously rhetorical. Sorry you and Lindsey are both ill.)
