7:30a- wake up feeling under the weather still (Jared on the upswing of what we thought was flu and I was on day 2 but it didn't hit me too bad). Get ready for day. Justin gets up with a fever that started Sunday night. Decided we should take him to the doctor.
8:30a- Take Jared to work.9a- Call Dr. multiple times to get through. Get appt at 11:30. Feed Lindsey, try and help sick baby and pack diaper bag with things for Lindsey at dr. office.
10:50a-leave for Dr.
12 noon-still at Dr. with sick baby and Lindsey.
12:30p-leave Dr. Justin has the flu. He is so sick. Lindsey actually made it that long without a meltdown. Told her we could rent a movie (b/c we still have to stay at home) and get a treat for her good behavior. Stop at two stores. (toting a toddler and 20lb sick baby in car seat, mind you!) Wal-mart does NOT have the tama-flu (sp?) for Justin and they report most pharmacies will not (shortage on the liquid kind b/c so much flu here already in TX supposedly).
1:30p-arrive home. Start movie and get lunch for Lindsey. Take more meds to try and survive the day. Soothe baby.
2:30p-put Lindsey down for nap. Try and get some lunch. Justin is in and out of sleeping and whimpering. His fever is still 101 on Tylenol. So sad for him.
3p- call multiple pharmacies and long story short-only ONE has the meds Justin needs. Call them and am on hold for 30minutes! While holding phone on my ear with shoulder and getting majore neck cramp, draw a cool bath for Justin to try and lower his temperature. Get DISCONNECTED from pharmacy. Give up trying. Give Justin bath.
4p- both kids sleeping. Pick up house.
4:45p-leave to get Jared at work, then to npharmacy to drop off prescription.
6p-arrive at said pharmacy. Prescription will be ready in an hour. Go to HEB for dinner stuff.
7p-arrive home. Lindsey has spent a total of 2.5 hours in the car today and 1.5 in Dr. Office and still in decent spirits. All exhausted, Justin whimpering almost unconsolably(sp?). Sick husband gets dinner for L while I feed Justin.
8p- Lindsey to bed. Justin still crying.
8:45p-drive back to pharmacy (20 minutes away) to get meds. Sick Jared stays with crying baby. Finally gets him settled.
9:30p-arrive home. Give meds to Justin.
10p-Justin wakes. Feed him and hold him/soothe him. So tired.
10:45p-currently finshing this post and going to bed. Praying baby will sleep most of the night.
How was your Monday? I miss Justin's smile-I only saw a weak one once today. Poor baby.
