I just found out today that a friend from High School, David Howell, died by his own hand March 19, 2007 in Anchorage, AK. I feel sorry for the suffering that he must have felt for so long to be able to do that. I also feel so sad for his family who are struggling to understand and cope with what happened. At the same time, I am still so happy to have Lindsey with us, and the joy and gratitude that I feel because of her almost overwhelms me.
The heart is a strange thing. I would have never thought that I could be so happy and so sad at the same time.
