Clean Up on Aisle Two!

picture note: Lindsey is holding hands with Justin while they swim :-)

So, today was mom=janitor day. Like this:

L spills drinkable yogurt on carpet floor-clean up and get new one for her (Maverick did help with this at least).

Justin spits up on couch--rolled right off/over burp cloth onto couch.

Mom knocks over drinkable yogurt in attempt to help daughter while holding Justin.

*Go To Justin's 2 month check-up*

While traveling in car, turn around to see Lindsey 'cleaning' herself with her Gatorade she was drinking. Pouring it in her hands and rubbing it on her legs, face, etc...

Justin had blood taken from heal and Lindsey has huge dirty diaper-put him in car seat to change sister's nasty dirty diaper in exam room, his bandaid falls off and foot is bleeding all over car seat.

Talking to nurse and look over to see Lindsey has learned how to spit and there's a pile of spit all over the chair in the exam room.

*At home*

Justin spits up on couch again. rolls in between couch cushions.

Change Justin's outfit 3 more times tonight because he keeps spitting up on them.

**sighs** Somehow the whole day went by and I got NOTHING done except playing clean-up. Oh, and driving to and from Doctor, to and from Jared's work to drop off/pick up, spending almost 2 hours in exam room with both children, going to in-laws to take care of geriatric dog and exotic lizard, rotate laundry, and take out trash full of dirty diapers. House still manages to look like a tornado came through and I'm spent. What a day. (did manage 10 minutes to stop with family and feed neighborhood ducks and 3 baby ducklings :-) so cute)

Oh, you are both brave and wonderful! I couldn't help laughing even though it doesn't sound one bit fun.

The Lindsey learning how to spit one still has me laughing. I can just picture it. Sounds like you had your hands full. Miss you!!! Wish I was there to help!

WoW! What a busy day! I hear enviromental service occupationalists are in demand. I can see they are in your family today.

I'm sorry, but I'm still laughing over the "learn to spit" thing.

Hey thanks for taking care of that old dog of ours!

Hang in there girl. You are brave! It won't be long and you'll be trading diapers for college tuition.

Love you LOTS!
MOM O.

If I could make cleaning a super power I would. Instead of Wonder Woman, it would be Janitor Melissa. Props to you! Those days are painful when you feel like nothing's been accomplished...and I only have one munchkin... I can't imagine it with double the "fun"! Hang in there, :-)

This post totally made me laugh. So true! I even shared it with my sister who has two kids and she thought it was so funny. You wonder how you got nothing done...but you kept your head above water on "one of those days". Good job! Miss you still Melissa, hope you'll come back to Utah. I know, it's not likely, but I can hope!
