We wore red shirts,
Had red (ended up pink, which was acceptable!) pasta, red apple, and red milk for lunch,
Did bowling with our red bowling balls,
and read Little Red Riding Hood.
All in all, a successful morning :)
Also, I enjoyed preparing mashed potatoes for the first day of the Month of Love when I found this heart potato in my bag!
And just for fun, here's a pic of Justin, and when Lindsey saw his hair like this she laughed and declared "He looks like a dinosaur!"

That is too cute! I want to have red day too. Do you think my husband will go along with it??? ;) Your kids are both so cute!
I love your red day... so fun! I used to do things like that all the time with the girls... they are not happening quite as often these days (since McKay's arrival). And the heart shapped potatoe... how cool is that?! :)
Your blog is lots of fun; you do a great job with it! I love the photos and the updates. Seems like I don't get into it everyday so I usually look at several (many) days at once and seldom leave notes. But you should know that it is viewed and appreciated by me as well as by those who do regularly comment.
How fun a RED day.
You are doing such a great job teaching your children.
I'm so proud of you both.
When's yellow day?
Love you,
MOM O
Love it Mel--creative. She'll remember things like that. For me...turtle pancakes, happy medicine, leopard pudding, etc--huge favorite memories...as well as pirate day, backwards day, etc at Evans family reunions. Oh, and the pic of Justin? Way too cute. :)
Andrew and Lizzie love the first pic in this post. They laughed and Lizzie said, 'She's silly like me!'
